Hello!

It was wonderful to see so many of you at orientation last week. Here are this week’s reminders, plus the slide deck and the resources I mentioned. Anything you reach for often lives at the top of the hub, so this update sticks to what is new.

Liaison form (please complete)

Weekly updates start in July, and they go to the contacts listed in your liaison form. I am still missing responses from 30 organizations. Please take a moment to fill out the liaison form so you do not miss anything. Building this distribution list correctly is the hardest part of launching a campaign, so keeping your form current is a real help.

Two question survey

If you have not already, please fill out the two question survey. It will significantly shape the campaign this year. We are considering shortening the campaign and changing the language around matching grants, and I want your input.

Participation agreement and fee

If you have not yet turned in your participation agreement and fee, please do so by the end of the month. Your invitation and invoice were sent in May to your organization’s main application contact. If you cannot find them, let me know and I will resend them to the top of your inbox.

You can open the orientation slide deck here. It also lives in the Nonprofit Google Drive, linked at the top of the hub.

Social capital research

For those interested in the social capital data I referenced in the workshop, here are the two studies. The JEC site used to have an interactive map, but its web elements have been unreliable lately, so it is easiest to download the data and report and search by county. The Atlas study is more interactive.

Upcoming workshops

Campaign Tips and Tricks. July 10, 11:00 AM, The Peel House. Join us to talk Give! Campaign strategy. We will look at how different nonprofits use the campaign for different goals and walk through the five areas to plan before launch. A good fit if it is your first year in the campaign or you are rethinking your approach.

Give! Events and Collaboration. July 27, 1:00 PM, East Library. A working session for nonprofits interested in planning collaborative events during the campaign. Come ready to brainstorm, meet other organizations, and build connections that often outlast the campaign itself.
