On June 23, 2026, communities across the country will participate in TogetherTuesday, a national day of community action organized by GivingTuesday and the Be The People campaign. Give Pikes Peak is bringing it home to the Pikes Peak region.
The idea is simple. Browse a list of concrete actions submitted by local nonprofits. Pick one that fits your day. Do it on June 23.
Why TogetherTuesday Matters
The Be The People campaign, backed by more than 50 foundations and organizations nationwide, was built on a straightforward observation: most people want to show up for their communities. They just need a clear way in.
As GivingTuesday CEO Asha Curran told the Denver Gazette earlier this month, “citizens feeling hopeless is a threat to democracy.” TogetherTuesday is designed to push back against that hopelessness with something concrete and local.
Give Pikes Peak has been gathering action ideas from nonprofits across El Paso and Teller counties. The result is a growing page of simple, specific things anyone can do on June 23 to support their neighbors.
What’s Already on the Page
Local nonprofits have submitted ideas across several categories including dropping something off, spending an hour, showing up somewhere, and making a connection. A few examples:
Westside CARES is asking neighbors to pick up an extra jar of jelly or jam on their next shopping trip and drop it off that morning. Ten minutes, one item, real impact.
Faithful Hearts Equine Learning Center needs an hour of barn help: sweeping, filling water buckets, pulling weeds. No horse experience required.
Medicine Wheel Trail Advocates is inviting people to spend an hour picking up trash along their favorite trail, or to bring someone new out for their first mountain bike ride.
The page is live now at givepikespeak.org/togethertuesday and adding new ideas as nonprofits submit them.
Nonprofits: We Want Your Idea
Give Pikes Peak is still collecting action ideas from 2026 class members. If your organization has a simple, specific thing someone could do on June 23 to support your work, submit below. The ask is one clear action, something a neighbor could do in an afternoon with no special skills or prior relationship with your organization.
