We make our city center welcoming and inspiring for all with thought-provoking sculptures and murals, walking tours, Skate in the Park, First Fridays, and so much more. The Springs does better when it has a strong Downtown, and our programs benefit artists, entrepreneurs and residents regionwide.

Millibo Art Theatre

The Millibo Art Theatre is a mainstay of the performing arts community in the Pikes Peak Region. We provide 14 original and premiere productions, summer camps, classes, and touring shows for audiences of all ages at our beautiful Ivywild venue. Over 10,000 children, students, and adults are served annually. We also provide paid employment for 100 actors, teachers, designers, directors, and technicians.

New Horizons Band of Colorado Springs

We keep adults "young" and healthy through playing our musical instruments and socialization. With an average of 70, our lives are enriched by the mental and physical challenges of playing music, socializing, and in offering concerts to our community. Our bands and orchestras rehearse and perform 32 weeks a year! One of our members says "NHBCOS challenges me to accomplish something and puts structure in my life."

Youth Documentary Academy

YDA provides tuition-free training and mentorship by professional artists in the field. By doing so, it levels the playing field among elite arts and film training academies that primarily serve advantaged families in coastal cities. Following production, graduates work extensively with YDA staff to distribute their work and develop public engagement campaigns that address the social issues their films illuminate.
