All Breed Rescue & Training

All Breed Rescue & Training has been an integral part of the community since 1996. We ONLY rescue and rehabilitate LOCAL at-risk dogs who often have no options left. Our Best of the Springs winning training services give our foster dogs a new leash on life. Hundreds of other dogs from our community every year benefit from our relationship-based training programs, many of whom utilizing free or reduced cost services.

Cripple Creek Donkeys

Once the Donkeys were released from the mines in the early 1920s, the Two Mile High Club was formed to take care of the roaming herd. Our mission to ensure the safety, feed, shelter, and medical care started back in 1931. Our all volunteer team and club operate on 100% donations to care for the herd. The donkeys not only contributed to the building of the Cripple Creek area, they helped build the Pike Peak region.

Elite Equine Rescue

EER was founded to provide rehabilitation, re-homing and aftercare to equine athletes that no longer served their previous life and were therefore, in jeopardy of being discarded, neglected or even abused. We strive to meet the rehab needs of our rescues, evaluate training level and personality traits and determine long-term general care needs for each horse. Then, we pair them with an individual that matches each horse's needs.

Happy Cats Haven

Thousands of Pikes Peak area cats and kittens find themselves scared, alone and homeless every year. Each one has a story to tell. Each family looking for a new cat to love has their own special story, too. We listen carefully to those stories of abandonment & fear, of recovery & hope. We offer cats and people all the time they need at our cozy, cat-friendly Haven to turn them into stories full of purrs and love.

Harley's Hope is there to assist during challenging times with a variety of support services designed to keep pets and people together including help with major veterinary expenses, emergency foster care/boarding, pet food support, and more.

Look What the Cat Brought In

We take medically and socially needy cats for rehab, treatment and adoption. Cats that need more time to become adoptable and that may be at-risk of euthanasia come from Colorado homes, rescue groups and other shelters. We accept otherwise unadoptable cats from the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region so that cats needing longer times to heal medically and socially in order to become adoptable have their chance with us.

National Mill Dog Rescue

National Mill Dog Rescue (NMDR) is the leading organization in the country devoted to rescuing commercial breeding dogs (puppy mill dogs). Over the past 15 years, we have rescued over 17,000 dogs, and grown from a small group of dedicated volunteers to a well-respected, established organization. The support of our donors allows us to continue our mission, as we are almost 100% funded by individual donations.

No Hound Unhomed

We are a canine rescue organization that socializes each dog in small groups and sends each dog through basic obedience training. We give them love and affection to rebuild their trust in people and give them a safe, comfortable environment so that they have a chance to turn back into the loving, faithful family members that we all want. With the help of our staff and volunteers, we walk, socialize and train all our dogs to give them the best chance at success.

Paws N Hooves Rescue is an all-volunteer rescue that focuses on at-risk dogs. We provide vet care for rehabilitation, training, and love to make our animals adoptable to a fur-ever home. We are dedicated to helping animals that are abused, abandoned, neglected, or no longer wanted by their current owners. While they are at a volunteer, foster home, we provide care and training while finding a suitable, permanent home.

Safe Place for Pets

Safe Place for Pets is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that helps people who are terminally ill by finding homes for their beloved pets. Founded 26 years ago by a group of hospice nurses, our army of volunteers place as many as 50 pets into new, loving homes each year. We provide TLC, medical and dental care to these pets, many of whom are leaving the only home they have ever known.
