Ahavah Community Initiative

ACI assists those experiencing food insecurity by providing access to locally farmed, regeneratively grown produce via donated memberships to Ahavah Farm’s CSA program. Memberships include weekly veggies, discounted farm tours, classes and events centered around healthy living and environmental consciousness. Recipient families become part of our community, attending classes and, in some cases, becoming volunteers.

CASA of the Pikes Peak Region

CASA’s Milton Foster Children’s Fund (MFCF) provides resources for foster youth (ages 0-21) to give them a sense of normalcy in a situation that is anything but normal. Resources may include financial support for unmet needs and activities, life skills workshops such as budgeting, self-care, and nutrition, and access to free clothing and accessories through The Hanger, a project within MFCF.

As the needs of families and individuals have grown in the state of Colorado, the needs of our community have grown as well. Our community members are facing hard decisions, having to choose between gas, rent, medicine or food. We want to alleviate the problem of putting food on the table so that these families can pay for other necessities.

Court Care for the Pikes Peak Region

Court Care provides free childcare for anyone who has court-related business in the Pikes Peak Region. Children are welcomed into a nurturing, safe space away from potentially traumatic courtroom proceedings (e.g., domestic violence, divorce, rape, child custody, etc.). Struggling parents are able to speak with dignity and participate in legal matters without children seeing, hearing, or possibly distracting them

Make It A Home

Make It A Home uses mostly donated and thrifted items to furnish living spaces for families coming out of extreme circumstances. With minimal funds, we create beautiful and personalized spaces that allow families to heal and thrive. We help tentatively stable families become permanently stable families through the extra layer of a comfortable and functional living space. MiAH takes donations and creates joy and hope.

Special Kids Special Families

SKSF Zach’s Place is a lifeline for families of kids with severe issues, offering daycare & respite services to children ages two and a half to eighteen years old who have high behavioral, developmental, physical and/or medical needs. Zach's Place engages kids in fun, inclusive activities (music, art, science, indoor gym, outdoor playground, gardening) while teaching critical safety and life skills. 85% of low-income families pay on a sliding scale averaging $4.90/hr (actual cost is $28/hr).

Sue's Gift - Gynecologic Cancer Support

When cancer hits below the belt, Sue's Gift is here to help! Our Financial Assistance program helps pay household bills during treatment. Our Woman to Woman program trains and empowers survivors to mentor a newly diagnosed patient with the same cancer type. We also provide Chemo Support bags, community awareness events and celebrations of survivorship.

TESSA

TESSA supports healing for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault (DVSA) in the Pikes Peak region. Services include our Safehouse program, 24/7 Safe Line, confidential advocacy, counseling, legal and housing aid, youth and children’s programming, as well as community outreach and educational resources. Through these programs and services, TESSA strives to realize our vision of a community free of violence.

As the only comprehensive human services organization and food pantry providing services to economically disadvantaged households in northern El Paso County, we provide emergency, relief, and self-sufficiency programs to those in need. We help resolve difficult choices between paying rent, putting food on the table or getting a needed prescription.
