Mountain Song Community School, the only public Waldorf-inspired school in Southern Colorado, utilizes developmentally appropriate holistic education to nurture the body, mind, and heart of each student. Our aim is to bring forth healthy, confident, free-thinking, self-directed children who are passionately engaged with their education and empowered to contribute positively to the world.
A Waldorf education matters now more than ever. As children are often connected to screens and disconnected from each other, Mountain Song fosters deep connections between peers, between students and teachers, and between children and the Earth. While a Waldorf education is often a private school experience in much of the country, Mountain Song is part of a growing movement to offer this unique education at no cost.
We recently became the proud owners of the historic Whittier building in May of 2022 and now it’s time to turn our house into our home by improving the garden, playground, and do much needed renovations.
