Mission Medical saves the taxpayers of the Pikes Peak Region millions of dollars annually in uncompensated care, by averting non-trauma medical issues from ERs. Volunteers provide free health care to our low-income, uninsured neighbors. Services include primary care, dental, vision (with free glasses), behavioral health, and durable medical equipment. In 2021 MMC was the community resource for free COVID testing.
Prior to the coronavirus pandemic, over 49,000 residents of El Paso County did not have health insurance. That number is approaching 100,000. With nowhere else to turn, the underserved, turn to Mission Medical (MMC) for their healthcare needs. MMC treats the whole person: Body, Mind and Spirit with dignity and & compassion. MMC is the only FREE clinic in Colorado Springs that provides comprehensive healthcare.
In addition to volunteers & funds, MMC is adding new laptops & tablets to increase productivity. The MMC facility was built in 1974 is in need of repairs and upgrades.
Many people must choose between healthcare insurance or buying groceries. MMC gives people a place to work to stay healthy.
“Thank you Mission Medical for all you have done for me, and my health, over these past 4 years. I would not be able to work and live without the care you gave me. God bless you all.” — Bobbie J, a patient since 2018
