The Chamber Orchestra of the Springs is a professional music ensemble that performs for thousands of Pikes Peak area residents every year. We also organize music education activities for children and families, perform free concerts at senior centers through our SenioReach program, and have performance opportunities for local and nationwide youth through our annual Young Artist and Emerging Soloist Competitions.
Our guiding principals are “Music For All, Music By All”. In other words: Our music must represent our community, and be accessible to everyone. That’s why we have a no-questions-asked, pay-what-you-can Affordability Policy, why we perform audience requests and highlight under-represented composers, and why we collaborate with local arts groups like Opera Theatre of the Rockies, CS Chorale, Theatreworks, and more.
A high-quality staff camera for documenting our events, and a volunteer with knowledge of QuickBooks to assist in a transition with our bookkeeping.
The 2023-24 season is our 40th anniversary! We’ve been performing since 1983, and kept our musicians paid during the pandemic through digital performances.
“The wealth of repertoire, the quality of all your performances and the educational aspects of all the work you do are special gifts to thousands of our citizens.” — Anonymous patron, via an end-of-year survey.
